FilterFormula - Announcement of new Release

Guenter, please check the address you are subscribed to the list, this
one bounced to me.

==================================
Hi all!

Now it is some time that you did not hear from me and FilterFormula. But
now I want to tell you that I am planning to publish a new release of
FilterFormula (1.1) within the next few weeks (I know, I am beginning to
act like MS with all these pre-announcements, but - 1) it will not take
at least a year until the release is really usable and 2) I want you to
give the possibility to comment on that before it is "too late").

The main new features in release 1.1 are:
- the filter dialog box can be underlayed with a WMF graphic (which
includes text, bitmaps, line graphics,....)
- an additional combo box that allows you to select from a set of (few)
choices in a non-numeric way
- every slider gets a default value (can also be a random range) to
which it can be reset by pressing a RESET button

And possibly - but I'm not yet sure if this will be part of this release
or only the next one -
- several (maybe 6) user-defined coordinates instead of only one

For the next release/version after 1.1, I am planning to do some or all
of the following items:
- user functions (in the code)
- functions can be triggered before the actual filtering process by
pressing buttons
- call of external DLLs
- arrays - dynamically defined
- possibility to write outside the selection
- loadable patterns (bitmaps)
- "switch" command
- persistent storage of variables in registry
- extended setting of variables in the filter dialog box
- a standalone program that allows to perform the filter without a host
program (load/filter/save)

Please tell me what you think of these items, tell me what you think is
not important or what should be added to this list.

Another item is: Is there anyone (firm or freelance programmer) who
would be interested to do the porting of FilterFormula to the Mac
environment? Please tell me if you are or you know someone who could be
interested.

Best regards,
