FW: FilterMeister: First Public Beta

Hi folks,

I'm new on this list, so allow me to introduce myself first :

I'm dabbling at this filter stuff since 3 month, just for fun.
I working on a Intel/WIN95 machine with Corel Photopaint 8 and
Filter Formula or just the build in Convolution Filter.

I DL Filter Meister yesterday and I'm missing some information, 
as e.g.: a function reference , will it work on the Mac?, price?, 
and so on.

So just a first impression:

They seem to be almost similar.
Both work 98% with my Photopaint. 
There seem to be some additional keywords, like 'case', 'load',
'save', and a better access to the Dialog in FM.
But you have to declare every control in the code. 
(FIFO has a dialog for this purpose).

You have custom colors and custom coordinates in FIFO, 
I miss them in FM.

FM seem to be slower and seem to produce slightly larger files 
(about +20K). OK, it's a beta.

The first part of the FM - Manual (gettings.pdf) is really great.


Finally a (OT?) Question to all:

I wonder if there is anybody out there, coding his filters in C 
with the SDK?
I couldn't find anything about this on the web, 
(except of the SDK of course).
So if anyone have a Link, hint, etc., please let me know.
