Re: FF Problem (More on the Alpha Channel)
Hi Alfredo,

Yeap, its almost linear, but not very exact,
as you got a large amount of distances but only 256 values
to convert them.

The problem is, that I only have PS5 LE and there is no channel palette.
(or do you mean the layer palette?)
Maybe they make it a little too "LE" or I didn't found it yet.
So I'll try this next time I visit a friend with PS5.
In Photopaint it works similar, only you couldn't use the BG but
have to copy the BG into a layer (an object in PP).
Every thing else is quite similar.
So here's poor man's DOF, FF Version:
RGB: a>ctl(0)?cnv(1,1,1, 1,1,1, 1,1,1, 9):c
A : a
BTW, beside of this depth map stuff, you may get nice effects
by applying a mask/alpha with radial gradient or so.
However, it's a little strange, in an 32 bit image,
the alpha value is stored with the RGB values,
so why one can access it like the RGB bytes
neither in FIFO nor in FF?
Maybe a food of thought for the Filtermeister guys?
Thanks for your help + regards
